Tozan Wood-Firing

Canada's Largest Community-Owned Hill-Climbing Kiln is operated by Tozan Cultural Society members who proudly invite you to experience the excitement of this ancient method of producing pottery.
Our wood-fired kiln becomes a giant dragon as we feed it wood. Come and observe this unique event in our local community.
Everyone is welcome to see the pottery pieces as they are removed from the kiln. Watch the excitement of the membership's first viewing of their finished pots!
Creativity is unlimited within the membership. Pots range from the simple Tea-bowl to sculptures... utilitarian to fantasy.
All ages will find the members happy to share their experiences and willing to answer questions on the process. One of the areas surprises!
Check it out, you'll be amazed!
