Come to MakerSpace and learn about the Tozan kiln and wood fired pottery made here in Nanaimo! The Tozan Cultural Society is holding a show-and-tell on March 19th at MakerSpace Nanaimo. The display will be open from 6-9 PM and is being held at Makerspace Nanaimo, located at 2221 McGarrigle Road. Representatives from the Tozan Cultural Society will be on hand to talk about the wood firing process, the world famous Tozan kiln, and the pottery on display.
We'll also have a slideshow showing some of the fascinating history of the Tozan kiln, including pictures from its construction and from previous firings. Everyone welcome!
