In its 9th year, the Tofino Saltwater Classic fishing derby is a fundraiser for Tofino Community Initiatives and programs originally created by NHL player Brendan Morrison.
Since its inception the event has raised more than $430,000 for local causes. With over 135 anglers participating there are prizes for Top Chinook, 2nd Place Chinook, 3rd Place Chinook, Top Coho and Top Hidden Weight halibut.
