TJ Dawe performs "Marathon"

Dawe is a master storyteller, but more importantly he is a weaver. He takes three threads of seemingly unrelated anecdotes and delicately interlaces them -Orlando Weekly
Marathon is astonishing. Its raw. Its a man braving his deepest fears to share his discoveries with us. As he shares his revelations, we should be put off we should be incredulous, we should dismiss, but its impossible to do. Dawe is too forthright, his story too identifiable as genuine experience, and we are faced with its living proof as he stands before us. -Fringe Review
* * *
Last year Dawe performed Medicine at Nanaimo Art Gallery, about his experiences with the psychedelic drug ayahuasca and learning to let go of old coping mechanisms.
Since then, Nanaimo Fringe has received numerous requests for a return engagement.
Weaving together varied interests and relentlessly pursuing self-discovery, Dawe has built a reputation for creating intimate and engaging shows that are heavy with content.
With his newest show, Marathon, Dawe explores the subject of our personal "blind spots" and he experiments for the first time with a partially improvised performance.
Marathon is about his experience with the enneagram a theory of human personality composed of nine interconnected personality types.
Dawe said he was "really skeptical" when he first heard about it, in New York City in march, 2013, but "what I learned there impacted me so much, that is the focus of my show."
