The Tiny Tricycle Poets are three internationally and locally recognized individuals, Emma Field, Angelica Poversky and Andrew Warner, that have competed and performed all over Canada. They have performed at events like Tedx, Richmond World Festival, CHIMO Voices against Violence against Women and Canadian Top 25 under 25 environmentalists. They provoke thoughts and feelings with their weird, Canadian poetry.

Locals are invited to participate too... it's going to be "island style", a non-competitive poetry slam, a chance for islanders to share a poem they've written.

-- It's non-competitive
-- The poems have a three minutes time limit.
-- Poets may not use musical accompaniment, animal acts, costumes, nudity, or props.
-- The poet has to have written the poem they're performing
-- No charge for participating poets

The Tiny Tricycle Poet event is happening Saturday June 17 in Herons at 7pm. Dining is optional, reserve for dinner beforehand by calling the Inn: 250.285.3322. It's $5 at the door for this event... but free for participating poets who have signed up beforehand.
