Celebrate This Land These Waters with us at the opening event of InFrinGinG Dance Festival!
The evening opens with Snuneymuxw Dancers with lighting by John Carter and set by Mark Roch. We are grateful to do our living on tradtiional Snuneymuxw Territory. This will be followed by the INDOOR remount of our May Body Of Water project led by Nicole Mion of Springboard Performance (Alberta) http://springboardperformance.com/, and created with facilitation by Nicole and artists, Danielea Castell (BC/China) www.watergratitudeproject.org and Genevieve Johnson.
This work was created at Brother Milstone and Mother Ocean at Neck Point over a week long period in May. It was first presented on location. We bring it inside to explore the transference of experience of nature throug the visceral body. It is presented as an audience engaged installation that you wander through and share remnants, sounds, stories and memories that may evoke your own. Lighting is by John Carter and set by Mark Roch. Performing in the evening are: Nicole Mion, Genevieve Johnson, Larissa Cosar, Valerie Mermet, Melissa Nobels, Mark Roch. The show is located in the Dodd Narrows Room
