Thinking Day Afternoon Tea

The Coastal Rainforest District (local area Sparks, Brownies, Girl Guide, and Pathfinder units) will be hosting a community Tea in celebration of "Thinking Day" on Sunday February 17th, 2013 at the Qualicum Beach Community Hall.

Admission is a requested donation of $5.00 per adult and $2.50 per child (5-12yrs old) and under 5 years old is free. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.

There will be a performance of songs at 2:45pm as well which will be wonderful entertainment!!

We will be collecting donations of items for young families with kids under 5 years old and donating them to local charities. (donations could include: Hygiene items such as kids toothpaste, baby shampoo, diaper cream, cotton swabs, baby soap, large size diapers (they get lots of small sizes) and pull-ups are always in high demand, along with the regular formula, diaper wipes, and small diapers.)

Also: Any monies collected for donation will go to the WAGGS (World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts) - Thinking Day Fund via the Canadian World Friendship Fund and will be used in these countries for programs aimed at reducing mother & child mortality.
