Julian of Norwich was an English anchoress and an important Christian mystic and theologian. Her Revelations of Divine Love, written around 1395, is the first book in the English language known to have been written by a woman. Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, teacher, author, poet and peace activist who now lives in southwest France where he was in exile for many years. His poems and spiritual exercises have had a strong impact on Western Buddhist practice. Allannah Dow and Leah Hokanson, both Gabriola musicians, will present some selections from both poets and play cello and piano, inspiring us to feel the words resonate within. An hour that will allow you to meditate to music and words.
