Victoria’s ace theatre-makers race against the clock to create brand-new 10-minute plays in just 48 hours using only their quick wits, raw talent and a mysterious gift-wrapped box of inspiration.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join your hosts at The Metro for the world premiere of 6 brand-new plays from local artists. It will be anything but ordinary!
Theatre Under the Gun Victoria! is a 48-hour play-making project that invites the local theatre community to collaborate and develop deadline-driven new original work in a challenging, creatively stimulating, fun and slightly crazy social environment.
At 8pm on Friday, November 21, each group will receive an inspiration package, which will become the basis of their creation: a line of text, a prop, an image and a sound cue. The next 48 hours will be spent writing, creating, and rehearsing until the lights go up at The Metro on Sunday, November 23 at 8pm, exactly 48 hours later.
