The Woman in Black runs October 16th to November 2nd, with performances Wednesday through Sunday.

Echo Players proudly presents The Woman in Black, adapted by Stephen Mallatratt from the book by Susan Hill. As the nights are drawing in and Halloween is in the air, who doesn't love a good, old fashioned ghost story.

Unanimously acclaimed by the critics and on stage for over 25 years in London's West End, The Woman in Black is a subtle trip through time into a ghostly world where supernatural forces combine with the power and intensity of live theatre to send chills through the audience. Stephen Mallatratt's brilliant adaptation of Susan Hill's best selling novel tells the story of a lawyer obsessed with a curse that he believes has been cast over him and his family by the spectre of a "Woman in Black". He engages an actor to help him tell his story and exorcise the terror in his soul.

It begins innocently enough, but as they reach further into the lawyer's darkest memories, they find themselves caught up in a world of eerie marshes, moaning winds and misty phantoms. The border between make believe and reality begins to blur and gives way to a tumble of events and secrets more terrifying and sinister than any nightmare.

This classic production combines the power and intensity of live theatre with a cinematic quality of film noir to bring this highly entertaining ghostly experience to Qualicum Beach.
