The Walrus is pleased to announce a special event in Nanaimo exploring all aspects of leadership, and how our ideas and choices can shape the future of culture, reconciliation, economic development, and more.
Vancouver Island University Presents The Walrus Talks Leadership takes place on Tuesday, March 13 at VIU.
The Walrus Talks format features seven speakers for seven minutes each on topics related to a single theme. This event will feature a lineup of thoughtful, inspiring thinking from young and established business leaders, academics, politicians, and more.
Featuring:
• Ruby Barclay, peer support navigator for the Tuition Waiver Program, Vancouver Island University
• Stephen Kakfwi, former Northwest Territories premier and former Dene Nation president
• Alicia Raimundo, mental health superhero
• Katharina Rout, translator and honorary research associate, Vancouver Island University
• Judith Sayers, president, Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council
and more!
Tickets are $15 ($10 for students and seniors), and can be purchased at https://thewalrus.ca/the-walrus-talks-nanaimo/.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and a reception will follow the event, allowing attendees to continue the conversation after the Walrus Talks.
