Welcoming Kite Flyers From Around The World!

The Victoria International Kite Festival welcomes everyone to our 3rd annual event at beautiful Clover Point, just minutes from downtown Victoria. This year our free-to-attend weekend festival presents a multicultural community celebration, full of fun for the whole family!

Attendees will experience an eclectic mix of sights, sounds and tastes from around the globe and will have the opportunity to see some of the world’s top professional kite fliers and participate in our open-sky event for the general public. Daily programming will also feature children’s activities, including Friday night’s ‘Kites with Lights’ kick-off party, our kid’s kite making tent on Saturday and Sunday, and much more!

Amidst current global unrest and the Syrian refugee crisis our festival strives to encourage healing and inclusivity, and we continue this mission through our recent partnership with Victoria’s Inter-Cultural Association. New in 2016 is our Multicultural Performance Stage, which will showcase art, song and dance performances from community and cultural groups across the Greater Victoria area. At our festival we not only embrace the diversity of our community – we celebrate it!

For those visiting our festival from afar, Victoria offers access to everything from beautiful beaches, to snow-capped mountains to ancient forests. Daily sailing, whale watching and fishing excursions are available from right downtown! Our city offers a Mediterranean type of climate with late May average temperatures in the 18°C / 64°F range.
