A celebration of our maritime heritage. A stunning array of beautifully restored and lovingly maintained wooden boats!
The boats start arriving on Thursday, August 30th, and the festival officially begins on Friday, September 1st with the arrival of the Honorary Commodore.
We've got some great activities and programs in the works for everyone to enjoy! Here is a sample of what is coming for this year and our 40th Anniversary:
Adventures with Captain Cook
Come meet Captain Cook and learn about life at sea during the age of sail and discovery! Interact with artifacts like those used by Captain Cook and try your hand at knot tying. Recommended for all ages.
Face Painting
Get all dolled up for Classic Boat Festival at our Face Painting station! Animals, flowers, stars – you name it, our artists paint it! This fun activity is recommended for ages 4 to 10.
Pirate School
Arrrr! Come and learn how to walk, talk and fight like a pirate! Decorate your own pirate hat and explore artifacts that pirates would have used. This activity is recommended for ages 4 to 10.
Wooden Boat Craft
Inspired by the boats at Classic Boat Festival? Build your own sail boat model from wood and cloth and add flags for a decorative touch. This hands-on activity is recommended for ages 10 and up.
