The Traveller: Victoria Fringe show

The Traveller is a new play/performance piece on tour at this year's Victoria Fringe Festival and Vancouver Fringe Festival. Garibian Productions has been hailed for previous Fringe shows such as The Shoebox Philosopher which Plank Magazine called 'artfully and intelligently crafted' and El Centro which was described as 'exciting' by Beyond YVR.
Intense, poetic, and dreamlike, The Traveller is a one man show starring Vancouver born actor and multi-instrumentalist Max Kashetsky. A dark morality tale in the vein of Edgar Allan Poe's twisted poetry, part spoken word exploration of the ravaging effects of long term travel on the psyche of a jaded wanderer, and part campfire ghost story told from some place far out in the shadows of the road. The story is important to Garibian productions, as everyone involved are committed and experienced travellers with a love for the road.
The Traveller tells the harrowing tale of a young man who thinks he has seen everything there is to see and now has one last journey ahead of him—a journey into the heart of a hard land to unravel a mystery man was not meant to know. Max Kashetsky electrifies this gripping tale with spoken word rhythms while providing accompaniment with haunting guitar and folk harmonica.
