add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
You’re invited to a warm afternoon of stories, crafts, and music — celebrating family, traditions, and the debut picture book “The Tale of Strong Roots.” This heartfelt story was written by Valentyna Miliohlova, a real grandmother and Ukrainian immigrant living on Vancouver Island. 🌿
Inspired by the tales she once told her granddaughters, her debut book was created together with her family — a story that grew from memories, love, and cultural roots. 💛
Join us for a cozy family gathering filled with activities for all ages:
📖 Bilingual storytime in English and Ukrainian, read by Valentyna and her daughter Liubov
🎨 Four themed craft stations inspired by the book:
• Color your own story scene
• Decorate a “Strong Roots” bookmark
• Create tote bags, paper leaves and other with family wishes or memories
• Plant a real maple seed to take home and grow 🌱
🎵 Live music and a friendly community atmosphere
🍪 Treats & drinks for a cozy autumn afternoon
And a raffling 5 free hardcover copies of The Tale of Strong Roots by CVIMS! 🎁
