Let's celebrate Hockey Day in Canada together! Wear your team colours! Face paint is encouraged!
This all-day event is in three parts:
12pm: PUB MEET-UP at Flying Canoe Pub in Courtenay (1590 Cliffe Ave, at the Westerly) Lunch and Winnipeg Jets vs. Calgary Flames
6pm: SINGLES SKATE & SCRIMMAGE at Oceanside Place in Parksville - Registration required at FreshConnections.ca/events. Includes skate rental, please bring anything else you need to be comfortable on the ice Kid-friendly! Don't struggle for child care! We'll have exclusive use of the rink!
7:30pm: PUB MEET-UP at French Creek Marine Pub in Parksville (1025 Lee Rd.) Dinner and Vancouver Canucks vs. Edmonton Oilers. Don't worry if you're not a hockey fan or don't know how to skate. We'll learn together!
This will be a fun event for all ages 30s, 40s, 50s, and 60s. You never know whom you'll meet there! Your registration does not include any food or drink at the pub meet-ups. It does include 1-hour of ice rink activities and skate rental.
If you would like to attend the Hockey Date (pub meet-up), but not the Singles Skate, please email [email protected] to be added to the guest list. This is to ensure we have enough seats, but you're welcome to just drop in too!
