Quadwrangle Music is very pleased to announce that tenor sax player Ryan Oliver will be playing at the Simonholt Restaurant, May 22nd at 7:30pm. Juno-nominated Ryan will be releasing his latest album, "Ryan Oliver With Strings" and will have a String Quartet as part of his band. Featuring Ryan (tnr.sax/flute), Dr. Tony Genge (keys), Ken Lister (bass) and Hans Verhoeven (drums)and the String Quartet, this will be sure to be a memorable evening which we will be recording.

Juno-nominated Saxophonist Ryan Oliver steeped his concept and artistry in the creative fires of Amsterdam, honed his craft in Toronto and realized his dream of joining thousands of saxophonists at crowded jam sessions for several years in the jazz metropolis of New York City before returning to BC and the natural beauty of Vancouver Island. For over 15 years, Oliver toured the world with legendary Canadian jazz group the Shuffle Demons along with performing with a who's who of the Canadian jazz scene. His saxophone tone and musical world reflect the uniqueness of these scenes and his musical journey. This concert is a special evening featuring Oliver's quartet with a string quartet to celebrate the release of "Ryan Oliver With Strings" on the Cellar label!
