Imagine folk, bluegrass, and indie-rock stayed up all night having a dance party. The River and The Road manage to combine beautiful, haunting lyrics with strong harmonies, heavy percussion breakdowns, and dynamic arrangements to create a   unique sound that will have you hooked. With tenacity, heart, and above all else, a gripping live performance, the band has no plans of slowing down.

Based out of Vancouver, BC, The River and The Road have blossomed from a busking duo to an internationally touring quartet. Winter 2012 saw the band working to stitch their name into the musical fabric of Australia, most notably in Sydney and Melbourne. In addition to extensive touring in British Columbia, the band completed their first coast-to-coast Canadian tour at the end of 2013.

They’ve already performed at Cowichan Folk Festival, Desert Daze Festival, Tall Trees Music Festival, EPIC Festival, Shorefest, and Harmony Arts Festival. And have been the support act for Dear Rouge and The Zolas. The River and The Road have their sights set high for 2014, they’ve just completed another national tour, and showcases at Canadian Music Week.
