An imaginative new interpretation of Hans Christian Andersen’s haunting story, The Red Shoes, presented by Ballet Étoile, is a stirring fairy tale with modern day themes. A young woman finds herself torn between her passion for dancing and her love for a man. After receiving a pair of beautiful red dancing shoes from a mysterious shoemaker, she is swept into a fanciful world where it seems that all her dreams are within reach. However, she soon learns that her new found happiness comes with a price, and must decide how much she is willing to sacrifice for her art.
A story full of excitement and vibrant characters, Ballet Étoile brings this timeless tale to life with a unique blend of multimedia projections, colorful costumes and spirited dancing.
