The People's Market is a money-free, trade-based fair celebrating International Workers' Day and anti-capitalist struggle. We are inviting neighbours, friends, and coworkers to come and share crafts they make; services they offer; or the skills they have with the community. We are demonstrating the true resilience of our communities by sharing and enhancing our collective knowledge and skills.

The market will be a pop-up barter economy. For example, you might trade a haircut for a guitar lesson; or swap some homemade bread for a used book; or provide a bike tune-up in exchange for the chance to do some painting. Come make some awesome trades, and be reminded that we are worth so much more than cogs in the machine!

Examples of items you can bring to trade at the event:
-used books
-gently used clothing and jewelry
-arts and crafts
-jars of pickles, jellies or jams
-herbs and seeds
-your skills, knowledge
-anything you want.
