BOOK LAUNCH – “Finding Our Humanity” presentation by Leif Cocks with Q&A and book signing to follow. A welcoming prayer and song by Hwiemtun (Fred Roland) and a Silent Auction featuring art by local painters.

In Finding Our Humanity Leif Cocks shares an uncommon journey into what the great apes, our tribal past and a more philosophical approach to life can teach us about our humanity. With insights into the evolution of the ape-human mind and our shared natural and cultural histories, the book combines a compelling blend of science, philosophy and the intriguing real-life stories of both ape and human beings.

About the Author - Leif Cocks

For over three decades conservationist Leif Cocks has worked tirelessly to ensure the survival of orangutans in the wild. Author of the Amazon best-selling book Orangutans: My Cousins, My Friends, Leif is founder and president of world-renowned charity The Orangutan Project and president of International Elephant Project and International Tiger Project. Leif is an outspoken advocate for both wildlife and vulnerable communities and is recognized globally as an expert in his field.
