Urban Dance Connection is teaming up with its sister studio from Port Alberni, Stage West School of Performing Arts, to bring you the classic ballet, The Nutcracker.
Co-Producers Jen Soo Bodnar and Juli Martell have been working hard with the very talented Geraldine Potter to bring this show to both Campbell River and Port Alberni for the holidays. Geraldine Potter is the Director and Choreographer, and her impressive resume includes time as a professional ballerina in Europe and time studying at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Dancers from Urban Dance and Stage West ranging in age from 5-18 will be on stage with a professional lead that will dance the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Campbell River’s own Dustin Carnie will be returning to our stage in this production after 7 years of training with the Goh Ballet in the roles of the Nutcracker Prince and the audience favourite, Russian Dance. The Campbell River Children’s Choir will also be making a guest appearance in this Nutcracker!
