Three big voices singing honest songs. That�s what you�ll find when you make your way to Char�s Landing in Port Alberni on Sunday, June 30.

Once inside the doors of this beautiful 100-year-old renovated church, you�ll hear Ryan McMahon, Christopher Arruda and Cory Woodward sharing their stories and singing their hearts out as The Lion The Bear The Fox.

The Lion The Bear The Fox was just announced as a Top 20 finalist in the Peak Performance Project. Four hundred artists from across B.C. applied for the program, and this new soulful folk/rock trio from Ladysmith and Vancouver is excited to see where this can take them! Amid all the Peak Performance Project excitement, the band is currently recording its debut CD and is planning a fall western Canadian tour. But before all of this, The Lion The Bear The Fox will make its Port Alberni debut.

�When we perform, people experience three powerful, honest and soulful voices that will take them on a roller coaster ride of dynamically pleasing songs,� says Cory. �Each one's a journey, and we welcome everyone with open arms to dance wild, scream and sing into the night and experience one of the greatest self-made gifts we can give ourselves � pure uninhibited joy!�

Ryan, Cory and Christopher have decades of experience between them, releasing their own independent albums and touring the country countless times.

It was on one of these tours that the three singer-songwriters with the powerful voices started thinking about working together. They did a month-long western Canadian tour together as solo artists in May 2012, and as they travelled from B.C. to Manitoba and back, they developed strong friendships that led to collaborating and supporting each other on stage.

�If people are coming to a show, they can expect three big voices joining in harmony over songs that are very honest, raw and full of emotion,� says Christopher. �They can expect an energy unique to this band and unique to watching performers who you can are passionate about what they're doing.�

�Cory, Chris and I all visit themes that I hope the audience can relate to,� adds Ryan. �They'll see three young-ish gentlemen who are all trying to be better people each day, and the stories and the struggles with that. Bottom line, a good song is a good song ... but made better by three voices instead of one.�
