The Victoria Folk Music Society presents The Lebeau-Peterson Trio, after Open Stage, 7:30pm at Norway House (1110 Hillside), $5.
Born in Copenhagen, Denmark, Niels Petersen has been a performing musician, bandleader, producer and song-writer since his move to Canada. As a guitarist and pianist, Niels has shared the stage with such artists as Joan Armatrading, Tina Turner, Burton Cummings, Sir Cliff Richard,Trish Yearwood and Vince Gill.
A prolific composer, Niels has over 100 songs and compositions in his catalogue. He has also written music for television, documentaries, and short films, including a New York Freddie Award winning film documentary, and a Bravo Network Channel Art Expose, featuring Canadian artist Jeremie Giles.
Niels will be joined by Connie Lebeau on the bass and Danielle Lebeau-Peterson on the guitar, with all three on vocals. This trio is sure to bring a varied and entertaining program to the VFMS for a night that is not to be missed.
