Virtuoso clarinet player Connie Gitlin teams up with guitarist Adam Dobres to deliver an emotion-packed program of Klezmer music. The clarinet, which can both laugh and sob, is the instrument of choice for this traditional Jewish music, described as embracing the ecstasy and the despair of human life.
Travel back in time to hear the influences of Romanian gypsy music and early American jazz, and be carried to present day Israeli celebrations in this amazing program that knits the old and new in music passed down through many generations.
