Quadwrangle Music Productions is very pleased to bring Kit and Matt Eakle to you in their Quintet, as part of our ongoing "Best In Canada" jazz series. The Quintet features Kit Eakle (violin), Matt Eakle (flute), Nick Peck (keys), Ken Lister (bass) and Hans Verhoeven (drums).
Kit Eakle, a local Vancouver jazz violinist who has recorded and toured with guitar great Howard Alden, will be joined by his brother, Matthew Eakle, a world renowned flute player, perhaps most notably as a 30 year veteran with the David Grisman Quintet. Matthew has recorded and shared stages with notables from Vassar Clements to Stephane Grappelli; from Jon Hendricks to Linda Ronstadt, and from Larry Vuckovich to Jerry Garcia. Eakle has recorded two of his own fine jazz CDs - Flute Jazz Trio with guitarist Davis Ramey and Harvie Schwartz and his Matt Eakle Band: Hardly Work.
