Quadwrangle Music Productions is stepping outside our normal jazz music boundaries to bring to Nanaimo an old musical friend from the UK, now living in Boston, Award Winning singer songwriter, John Kelly. We have teamed John with with a stellar band of jazz musicians.
The band features John Kelly (voice and guitar), Emily Celeste (voice), Daryl Louis Marklinger (lead and acoustic guitars), Brent Jarvis (keys), Graham Shonwise (basses) and Hans Verhoeven (drums).
John's latest project had an auspicious beginning when one of his more pop-oriented compositions, "Shine", became a standout Award Winner at the Nashville Songwriters Association International.
A hugely gifted lyricist, John's melodies will find a place in your head and stay there! New to Nanaimo but not new to music, this show will be recorded by the venerable Ron Obvious for a live album, so bring your best applause!
