The Great Canadian Sing invites you to join in the spectacular countdown of Vancouver Island’s Top Ten winning songs, plus much more special music. Bringing together Stars of Stage and Screen to lead in and perform the world’s most beloved songs covered by everyone from Elvis to Il Divo – song of praise & inspiration such as How Great Thou Art, Amazing Grace and His Eye is on the Sparrow. This will be a night to remember. Very special guests include 20 million youtube hit sensations Roy & Rosemary, 4 time GMA award-winning Tenore, and the city’s very own beloved songstresses, Stephanie Greaves, Diane Pancel and Charlotte Martin. Musically directing the show and leading The Great Canadian Sing orchestra will be Karel Roessingh who has played throughout the world in almost every imaginable venue and is one of Victoria’s most prolific pianists and composers. Our non-profit venture for the Gala concert is Project Night Night who provides blankies, stuffies, and children's books to the youngest victims of homelessness. Focusing on children under five, PNN creates Night Night packages designed to help those who can’t articulate their concerns overcome the anxiety, emotional and mental stress that comes with home displacement.

Roy & Rosemary recently had the distinct honour to perform the world premiere of their composition, “The Courtial Concerto” written for the Ambassador of Rome at the largest sacred music festival in the world, at the Vatican.

Tenore is the multiple award-winning tenor group that shot to international acclaim since the release of its debut album, winning the GMA’s Covenant Awards for Traditional Album of the Year, Seasonal Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Fan Choice of the Year across the entire country.
Tenore was founded by Jill Ann Siemens, also Founder of multi-platinum recording group, The Tenors (aka The Canadian Tenors). Tenore's powerhouse vocals are now sought after across North America and around the world. Tenore’s talent roster includes Mark David Williams, Carlos Santiago-Moreno, Shane McConnell, David Wise, Kevin Pauls, Gabriel Burrafato, Shane Wiebe, and Arnold Livingston-Geis.
Performing to sold-out audiences across North America, Tenore has crisscrossed the globe from Kampala to California and, along with live TV and award recognition, has garnered an impressive, loyal and international fan base that begins in Canada and stretches worldwide.

Stephanie Greaves Bio:
Stephanie Greaves is no stranger to a stage – whether performing in an ocean-front piano bar, an arena for sporting events or at a large-scale theatre – her versatility in ALL genres comes alive – from jazz to classics, country to R&B and her favourite; musical comedy, she can do it all! She has had the thrill of performing for a large array of dignitaries including Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth and more recently, David Foster. She continues to lend her talent to many charities such as BC Children's Hospital, Make-a-Wish Foundation, CNIB and Santa’s Anonymous, to name a few.
Diane Pancel Bio:
International award winning recording artist Diane Pancel is once again based in Victoria after 3 years working in Los Angeles. Best known and a Jazz and R&B singer, Diane is also an anthem specialist and has performed all across the U.S. at major sporting events for the NHL, NBA, MLS, NWSL and AVP. Diane's voice has also been featured on nearly 400 radio and TV advertisements, and on the CBS TV show “Vegas” as the singing voice of character Yvonne Sanchez. Diane is a accomplished vocal coach, and recently contributed to the book The Ultimate Guide to Singing produced by TC-Helicon. Awards and nominations: Amway International Talent show winner ($10,000 prize), Molson Canadian National Singing Competition winner, CCMA National Singing Competition runner up, Nominated for 2 IPMA music awards (Song of the year, Best pop performance)

Karel Roessingh Bio:
Born in Leiden, Holland, raised in Calgary, Canada, Karel began his professional musical career in 1970. He first studied piano under Henry L. Peters, then took jazz instruction from Ray Petch. In 1973, he studied jazz arranging and composition at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed a degree in secondary music and mathematics education at the University of Victoria in 1981.
