'The Ferry' - Artist's Reception

You are invited to the Artist's Opening Reception at the Gage Gallery in Oak Bay. 'Travel by ferry is a stress-free taxi ride into the heart of a different culture.

In my signature painting titled 'The Ferry' American tourists sit at the back of the boat, blown by the wind and kissed by the sun. The locals stand at the front under a canopy. I notice the way they stand holding the canopy rail, silent and serious.' Large 48 x 60 inches acrylic canvases document journeys across the ocean to distant communities.

This is the Gillian Redwood's 4th solo exhibit in Victoria. She has a studio in Xchanges Gallery and Studios and is a member of the Gage Gallery Arts Collective. She teaches acrylic painting in Victoria and has exhibited widely in Europe and North America.

Everyone welcome. The exhibit continues Tuesday to Saturday 11am-5pm until October 7th.
