In 2020, UNHCR reported that 1,116 people died while attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea from North Africa and Turkey to Europe (not including those lost at sea). Join guest speaker Paul Williams to learn about effects of the Migration Crisis on the cohesion of the EU and its potential avenues of response - from restructuring to engaging in new avenues of transnational democracy.
