This summer live theatre returns to Tofino!
The Tofino Arts Council, PRAS and the CSCTA have teamed up to produce John Patrick Shanley’s ‘The Dreamer Examines His Pillow’. The play considers the impossibility and inescapability of love, or the state of hormonal intoxication that we call love. You can’t live with it, but without it life is meaningless. Long-time Tofino resident and theatre founder, Gary Marks, makes his return to the stage in the role of DAD, a verbose artists who has only scotch and regrets to keep him company. Sophie L’Homme is Donna, a strong sensitive angel from the streets on a mission to make sense of the nonsense that seems to be her birthright.
Carlo Marks will play Ms. L’Homme’s dirtbag love interest; he will also direct. The show runs July 8th-23rd, Fridays and Saturdays, starting at 8pm
