Brent Jarvis is a Canadian jazz pianist and producer living in Victoria BC. Formally trained at the University of Toronto Brent has gone on to perform across Canada and the US.

Brent has released five albums; the most recent being "The Medium" made up of equal parts be-bop, european classical music, and cuban rhythm. Drawing on the standard jazz repertoire and new compositions "The Medium" features the trumpet and conga playing of Latin Grammy award winning Miguelito Valdes , the bass playing of Steve MacDonald, and the timbale and cajon playing of Jose Sanchez. Loosely based on the Marshall McLuhan book "The Medium is The Message" this latest album more thoroughly explores the recorded medium.
