A wonderful and rare opportunity for art lovers at this year’s annual Nanaimo Artwalk to meet signature Ladysmith artist Michael Dean. Michael has been painting professionally for more than 40 years. In his early days, after immigrating to Canada in 1972, he arrived in Ladysmith and lived and worked on boats which inspired his interest in the coastal scenes and working vessels found in many of his paintings. His works in oil and watercolor showcase the natural beauty of the island and his vast knowledge has made his work an important part of our B.C heritage.
Come and meet Michael as he shares his personal experiences of the beauty of BC’s coast. Two days only!
