Get ready for some fun and Christmas spirit this December with The Allegra Singers!

Our winter concert will have an international flavour with songs like Hawaiian Lullaby, Bashana Haba’ah and Du, Du Liegst Mir im Herszen (a German folk song meaning “You, You Are in My Heart”).

Of course, there will also be traditional English songs such as The Holly and the Ivy and Angels’ Carol by that amazing composer of beautiful choral music, John Rutter.

On the lighter side, we’ll entertain you with upbeat jazzy celebrations of the season in Candy Cane Lane, Winter Wonderland and Christmas Time is Here.

And on the even lighter side (bordering on the ridiculous.. No, actually, they ARE ridiculous) will be Cold and Fugue Season and The Twelve Days After Christmas ( ”.. I had to use the three French hens to make some chicken soup! ..” ).

We’ll top it all off with a helping of Elvis Presley in our jazz version of Blue Christmas. You don’t want to miss this one!

Come and enjoy the chorus, the soloists, the small ensembles, the piano and more... And, once again, we've got a chance for you to sing along to a few your favourite carols to help you get into that Christmas spirit.
