This is the final exhibition of Turning the Tide...One Ripple at a Time, a collection of exciting textile art that has spent the last year touring Western Canada. 52 fabulous pieces depict how the tide will turn on HIV/AIDA in Africa. The art will be auctioned March 12 at a gala dinner at the Victoria Conference Centre (Stephen Lewis, speaker). Proceeds will be donated to the Stephen Lewis Foundation and will benefit grandmothers in Africa raising their HIV/AIDS affected grandchildren. The art has been donated for this purpose by the North Island Quilters for Community Awareness. Everyone is welcome to attend the opening reception, Feb. 26 at 2 p.m., meet some of the artists and share the excitement.
