Telling Your Story: Memoir Writing Workshop

Is it time to tell your own stories? If you don't tell them, who will tell them when you are gone? The best time to get started is now.

Marva K. Blackmore, writer, editor, and storyteller will lead this six-week memoir-writing workshop on six consecutive Monday afternoons commencing on April 12, 2021, until May 17, 2021, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. PDT The sessions will take place on Zoom.

Using techniques employed by storytellers around the world, Marva will show the participants how to apply those techniques to their memoir stories. She will help them unleash their stories and capture them on paper. Once the stories begin to flow, she will show the participants ways to organize those stories to begin to create their memoir(s).

An experienced workshop leader, Marva will help guide the workshop participants through the process of constructing their stories with their favorite and most vivid memories. Marva has also spent the last few years helping people write, edit, and publish their memoirs and brings that experience to this workshop.
