In the spirit of �ideas worth sharing�, TEDxJuandeFuca brings the
theme of innovation and transformation to Vancouver Island. The half day conference will foster the sharing of ideas and engagement between a broad cross-section of people in the community.

Innovators, entrepreneurs and thought leaders make up the presenters at any TEDx function and the TEDxJuanDeFuca is no different. Speakers already announced include:

● Jordan Marr, a successful organic farmer who has devised a website devoted to
promoting innovative small-scale farming tools and techniques, as well as cool
opportunities and resources for new farmers.
● Peter Unrau, an Associate Professor in SFU�s Department of Molecular Biology and
Biochemistry, delving into the similarities between early life and the technology that
started the industrial revolution.
● Tracy Lydiatt, a sustainability expert and green family guru who has lived around the
world in a sustainable manner. She will break down the basics behind sustainability,
providing strategies in easy to understand language, empowering families to create
healthy homes and do so feasibly.

In order to create an intimate setting for more interaction, conversation and connections with the speakers, organizers of TEDxJuandeFuca have limited attendance to only 100 seats. That being said, this event is open to anyone who is passionate about spreading ideas in the spirit of TED. Applications are now being accepted online at tedxjuandefuca.com until April 15, 2011.
