add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
August 27 is "Telling Tales: A history of sea stories and how they can lead us to the future." Museum volunteers, archival staff, and educators present unique artifacts from our collection, surrounded by discussions of maritime history and other seaworthy topics!
For this talk, join MMBC Programming Assistant, Emma de Blois to discuss the impact and meaning behind sea stories told throughout history, from oral storytelling to adventure novels, and look to the future of nautical storytelling. Could shifting the world’s view back to the ocean as a setting for captivating stories be the key to gaining traction in the fight against climate change?
Register online to receive a Zoom link, and settle in to hear and engage with our speaker - we strongly encourage you to brew a cup of tea!
