Roddy Ellias has been one of Canada’s premier jazz guitarists for over four decades, during which time he’s played with everyone from Lee Konitz to Dr. Lonnie Smith. As demonstrated on his latest album, Monday’s Dream, his music is both adventurous and beautiful, a shifting amalgam of jazz and classical influences that is never less than inspiring.
