Argentina-born pianist Gabriel Palatchi is a world class artist whose music embodies a complex mix of genres. After studying classical piano in Buenos Aires and being mentored by some of the great maestros of blues, tango, jazz and Latin jazz, he subsequently became a composer when he moved to Mexico in 2008. His life experiences up to that point influenced the composition of his first solo album Diario de Viaje (Travel Diary) in 2010. The album received critical acclaim from the global music scene, and was chosen as one of the best Latin jazz albums of the year by JAZZ FM Toronto. He went on to record more albums that cemented his unique sound, culminating in his 2022 album, Sextet. For the past 13 years, Gabriel has been performing at major international music festivals and touring worldwide. Now residing in Israel, Palatchi brings new compositions and more in his return to TD JazzFest 2023! Issah Contractor drums, Scott White bass
