Formed while music students at Montreal’s McGill University, this nine-piece “electro-soul hip-hop collective” quickly established their musical merit by beating out hundreds of other bands Canadawide to win the CBC and TD Bank’s Rock Your Campus competition in 2014.

Now with an EP, GLAM, and some impressive performance credits at Canadian Music Week and the Montreal International Jazz Festival, the band confidently generates deeply funky dance grooves, catchy hooks, and intricate instrumental textures.

The bottom line is BUSTY AND THE BASS is awesome. You need to download their album, get obsessed, and go to a bunch of their shows now, because this band is going places and soon they’ll be playing arenas and you won’t be able to afford the tickets.
