Grammy Award winning jazz vocalist Cassandra Wilson has been defying genres throughout her 26 year career and was called �America�s Best Singer� by Time Magazine. Wilson�s rich, expressive voice explores vintage blues, country, and folk, always with haunting results. Her landmark album, Blue Light �Til Dawn, redefined the idea of �jazz standards� by reimagining songs by Joni Mitchell, Hank Williams, and even the Monkees. Her band includes Lonnie Plaxico bass, Brandom Ross guitar, John Cowherd keys/piano, and John David drums. Wilson returns to Victoria for the first time in a decade; this performance is not to be missed.
