Nicknamed “The Serbian Scorcher” for her fiery technique, this award-winning artist is undeniably one of the premier talents in the blues world today, as anyone who caught her incredible performance at last year’s Blues Bash would attest.
Aside from her incredible fretboard skills and searing slide riffs, Popovic also has a memorably soulful and electrifying voice – it’s no surprise that guitar gods like Buddy Guy and Joe Bonamassa love to tour and collaborate with her. Inspired by everyone from Jimi Hendrix to blues masters like Ronnie Earl and Stevie Ray Vaughan, Popovic is a great player and songwriter very much with her own style.
