For some people Bordeaux Red wines are the benchmark by which all other red wines are judged. Red Bordeaux is always a blended wine, with either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot as the dominant grape variety. It can be made from 2 to 5 black grape varieties; Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet France, Malbec and Petit Verdot ( with most Bordeaux wines being made from 3 or 4 of the 5 varieties ). In this tasting we will talk about Left Bank and Right Bank and what makes up a Bordeaux blend. So come try some wines from this famous region, and see if you have a new benchmark.
