Nava is an actress and storyteller of Iranian Bahá’í heritage, who’s made her home in Anchorage, Alaska. She’s been hailed as a tour-de-force for her one-woman performances, seamlessly weaving in and out of multiple characters. Many communities throughout the world have enthusiastically received her performance of “Tahirih”, a short dramatic piece on a brilliant 19th century Iranian poet who gave her life for women’s rights.
Nava has been invited to perform at this year’s Intrepid Theatre Festival. She generously offered to give her “Tahirih” performance, while here in Victoria.
The event is sponsored by the Bahá'í community.
