Start With Art Nanaimo is holding a Spring Art Show at St. Paul's Anglican Church (100 Chapel Street) on May 17th from 11 to 5 pm, with a film showing from 3 to 5 pm.
The show features more than 20 artists, including clients from the Nanaimo Association For Community Living (NACL). At 3 pm the documentary "Waste Land" will be shown. This film made by Lucy Walker is about Vick Muniz a Brazilian artist who makes exquisite art from junk collected from the largest garbage dump in the world.
Refreshments shall be served. The emphasis is that there is no limit to the imagination and people of all abilities can make art.
