Bringin' the Summertime Blues to the Memphis of the North!

Four thousand kilometres away from Memphis, in the streets of the harbour city, blues music is making a home.  Nanaimo is being know for high calibre Blues music and during the 2013 "Summertime Blues" CTV nicknamed Nanaimo the "Memphis of the North".

Nanaimno is living up to the name again this year as the Nanaimo Blues Society is proud to present "Summertime Blues 2015" this upcoming August 28th, 29th & 30th at Maffeo Sutton Park in Nanaimo, BC.  This year the festival is celebrating our amazing local talent and bringing in seasoned veteran masters.  Come down and spend a great weekend of grooving to amazing Blues music.  Browse the local and unique artisan vendor wares, partake in some ice cold adult beverages at our beer gardens and taste savoury delights.  All this on Nanaimo's beautiful waterfron park.  It's going to be 3 days, 18 bands and infinate fun.

And don't forget to join us every Sunday at the Queens Hotel from 4:00 til 8:00 for our "Sunday Afternon Jam Sessions".  $5.00 gets you in the door and eligible for fabulous door prizes.
