Summer in the watershed

Calling all mermaids, pirates, sailors, swimmers, and aspiring biologists! Summer is on its way and we want to talk to you about our water!!
The Comox Lake watershed is a beautiful and complex system of mountains, lakes, rivers, and creeks. It also supplies drinking water to approximately 50,000 people. So what allows us to have safe water to drink and a safe habitat for fish and wildlife too? We want you to know!
Connected by Water, a project by the Comox Valley Regional District to teach and engage our community in the Comox Lake watershed, is hosting a family-friendly and interactive presentation at the Courtenay Library on Thursday, June 13th about the Comox Lake watershed and summer water conservation.
It’ll be a fun evening for families to come and learn about our watershed and our drinking water in the Comox Valley. And ultimately, what we can all do to keep it safe this summer.
This event is free for anyone to attend.
