Learn about the thriving Japanese Canadian family communities including No.1 Japanese Town, No.5 Japanese Town and Royston Lumber Mill. The internment of the entire Japanese Canadian population in the area on April 16, 1942 changed the fabric of Cumberland with ripple effects felt even today.
