Join Lori Sorensen at The Old School House Arts Center July 25th to 29th for a fun and hands-on exploration of various 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional artwork mediums!

For children ages 6 to 12

Morning sessions will focus on discussing and practicing 2-dimensional design. Children will use a variety of materials, such as charcoal, pencils, pens, crayon and ink on varying types of paper. Watercolour painting with wax resist and acrylic painting on canvas will both be explored.

Afternoons will be dedicated to clay creations. Principles of 3-dimentional design and the properties of clay will be investigated. Clay creatures will be constructed with an emphasis on creativity and free manipulation of the clay. Pieces will be glazed and fired to a final finish (a $20 clay fee is included in class price).

Children can attend either MORNINGS from 9:30 to 12:00, AFTERNOONS from 1:00 to 3:30 or FULL DAYS from 9:30 to 3:30. Children attending full days are expected to bring their own lunches to eat in the neighboring playground with Lori at noon.

FIVE 2.5HOUR AFTERNOONS (clay creations): $85.00

FIVE 6HOUR FULL DAYS: $150.00
